Two Identified in Marshfield Landing Vehicle Burglary Investigation

IBERIA PARISH, La. — The Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office has identified two individuals previously sought in connection with a vehicle burglary investigation at Marshfield Boat Landing.

Sheriff’s officials say the burglary occurred on Monday, November 3, 2025, and following an investigation, Preston Plessala, 18, of New Iberia, and Kadince Bordelon, 17, of New Iberia, have been linked to the incident, as well as to attempted vehicle burglaries at the same location.

According to the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office, arrest warrants have been obtained for both individuals on the following charges:

Simple Burglary of a Vehicle (LA R.S. 14:62.1)

Attempted Simple Burglary of a Vehicle (LA R.S. 14:27 & 14:62.1)

The Sheriff’s Office thanked members of the public for their assistance, noting that tips and information provided played a role in advancing the investigation.

Authorities say the case remains active as the warrant process continues.
