PIERRE PART – A recent financial crimes investigation led to the arrest of Felicia A. Daigle, a 37-year-old woman from Thibodaux, LA, who now faces numerous felony charges, according to Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon.
On September 19, 2022, deputies were called to investigate alleged fraudulent activities in the Belle River region. Upon arrival, they spoke with the complainant, who claimed that a former domestic partner had illegitimately used his identity without consent to apply for a loan and also forged his signature on documents to secure it.
Assigned detectives pursued the case and managed to identify two suspects. Julie D. Trosclair was arrested on October 13, 2023, on charges connected to the case. Further investigation revealed that Trosclair and Felicia A. Daigle were involved in fraudulent activities that allowed them to successfully obtain a loan amounting to $4,086.50 from a financial institution.
Daigle was apprehended in Thibodaux on Monday and transferred to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center as an Assumption Parish fugitive based on charges related to this investigation. She was then taken to Assumption Parish and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center, where she now faces the following charges:
– Felony Theft
– Identity Theft
– Bank Fraud
– Computer Fraud
– Illegal Transmission of Monetary Funds
Daigle remains in custody as she awaits a bond hearing.
