Suspect Arrested in Franklin Bank Robbery, Police Searching for Second Suspect

On June 27, 2025, at approximately 3:44 PM, the Franklin Police Department responded to an armed robbery at a local bank on Main Street. Upon arrival, officers’ learned that two (2) male suspects entered the bank armed with handguns and demanded money from the employees. During the investigation, detectives with the Franklin Police Department were able to develop two persons of interest.

The following arrest stems from that incident.

Brennan Burney, 28, of Irish Bend Rd., Franklin, LA, was arrested on June 28, 2025, at 1:40 AM, on the charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault with a firearm – 6 counts, false imprisonment, possession of schedule I narcotics (marijuana), and contraband into a penal institution. Burney was booked, processed, and held on a $1,110,000.00 bond.

The second suspect has been identified as J’Trell Connor.

J’Trell Connor is currently wanted for armed robbery, aggravated assault with a firearm – 6 counts, and false imprisonment. Connor is considered armed and dangerous.
