Mild conditions are expected Friday and Saturday before a strong cold front sweeps through the area Saturday night, bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms.
Behind the front, temperatures will tumble Sunday night into Monday morning, dropping into the mid-20s to near 30 degrees away from the immediate coast. Wind chills are expected to fall into the lower 20s. A quick warmup is anticipated early next week.
