A public hearing will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024. at 5:30 pm at the St. Mary Parish Water & Sewer Comm. #2 Office at 530 Southeast Blvd. in Bayou Vista.
The purpose of the special meeting is to consider levying additional or increased millage rates without further voter approval or adopting the adjusted millage rate after reassessment and rolling forward to a rate not to exceed the prior year’s maximum.
The estimated amount of tax revenues to be collected in the next tax year from the increased millage is $994,856.82 and the amount of increase in taxes attributable to the millage increase is $5,836.68.
