St. Mary Parish Water and Sewer Commission #4 to Hold Public Hearing and Meeting to Consider Rolling Millages Forward

The St. Mary Parish Water and Sewer Commission #4  of Charenton will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, August 21 at 5:00 pm, followed by a public meeting at 5:15 pm, or immediately following the close of public hearing, at its Administrative Office Building located at 900 Main St, Baldwin, LA.

Water and Sewer Commission #4 serves the communities of Charenton, north of Highway 90  in Sorrell  to the Iberia Parish Line, as well as the western outskirts of Franklin and the Baldwin area.  The purpose of the hearing and meeting is to consider rolling forward the existing ad valorem tax millage for operations and maintenance.

The items for consideration are as follows:

A Resolution levying and imposing an adjusted rate of 15.12 mills for the purpose of Operations and Maintenance on all property subject to taxation in the Parish of St. Mary, State of Louisiana for the year 2024.

A Resolution designating the adjusted millage rates after reassessment and increasing the millage rate back to a rate not to exceed the prior year’s maximum of 15.35 mills for the purpose of Operations and Maintenance on all property subject to taxation in the Parish St. Mary., State Louisiana for the year 2024.
