St. Mary Parish Clerk of Court to Hold Training Events for Election Commissioners

St. Mary Parish Clerk of Court Greg Aucoin has announced that he will hold general courses of instruction for anyone interested in serving as Election Commissioners and Re-certification of Commissioners.

This course of instruction is for new applicants and current commissioners. Anyone wishing to serve as an election commissioner must be a registered voter of St. Mary Parish who is not entitled to assistance in voting and has not been convicted of an election offense.

Course of Instruction dates are as follows:

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2024 – Franklin

 THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2024 – Morgan City

 TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 2024 – Franklin

 THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2024 – Morgan City

For more information, you may call the Clerk of Court’s office, Election Department at 828-4100 Ext. 200. You will be informed of the time and place this course will be conducted.  A certificate of instruction will be given to those successfully completing this course and those persons receiving this certificate will be eligible to serve as an Election Commissioner of a precinct during elections until June 30, 2028.
