St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 85 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Brennan Richard Tabor, 35, Patterson, LA, was arrested on August 4, 2023, at 10:35 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Bail has not been set at this time.
Alexander Cardona Rodriguez, 29, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on August 5, 2023, at 1:06 am for simple assault and stalking. Rodriguez also held an MCPD warrant for failure to appear. Bail has not been set at this time.
Clayton Tardy Jr., 61, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on August 5, 2023, at 2:51 pm on the following charges:
- Theft
- Expired driver’s license
- No insurance
- No license plates
- Failure/owner to secure registration

Michael Brandon Cocke, 34, Charenton, LA, was arrested on August 5, 2023, at 8:39 am on a warrant for indecent behavior with a juvenile and sexual battery-rubbing, touching. Bail has not been set at this time.
Jack Guillory, 48, Berwick, LA, was arrested on August 6, 2023, at 2:10 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of distribution of methamphetamine. Bail was set at $50,000.
Kyle Bailey Bellard, 23, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on August 6, 2023, at 3:33 pm on the following charges:
- Possession of methamphetamines
- Possession of synthetic cannabinoids
- Possession of CDS (drug-free zone)
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Illegal carrying of a weapon
- Resisting arrest or officer
