St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 31 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Scottie James Black, 34, Charenton, LA, was arrested on May 22, 2023, at 7:12 am for theft, criminal trespass, criminal damage to property, and obstruction of highway. Bail has not been set at this time.
All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
