St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 21 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Andrew Joseph Hebert, 31, Berwick, LA, was arrested on December 19, 2022, at 12:39 pm for battery-second degree. Hebert continues to be incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
Brian Keith Leggett, 48, Oakdale, LA, was arrested on December 19, 2022, at 12:42 pm for reckless operation-no accident. Leggett was released on a $500 bond.
Jalen Toi Scott, 29, Patterson, LA, was arrested on December 19, 2022, at 3:26 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of MDMA. Bail was set at $3,000.
James Duhon III, 48, Franklin, LA, was arrested on December 19, 2022, at 11:22 am for burglary-simple and theft by fraud. Bail was set at $16,000.
All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
