A small child was responsive and being transported to an out of area hospital after falling into Four Mile Bayou in Stephensville late Thursday afternoon. First responders were called to the area just after 4:30 pm after the child fell into the water and was reportedly unresponsive for several minutes. CPR was performed on the young girl, however KQKI is told by the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office that she was responsive and was being transported by Acadian Air Med. The Stephensville Volunteer Fire Department setup a landing zone for Air Med to land to intercept with an Acadian Ambulance ground unit just off Highway 70 in Stephenville.
