Sandra Kay Bergeron, a native of Krotz Springs and a proud resident of Berwick, was called to her heavenly home on Friday, June 13, 2025 at the age of 81.
Sandra was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a true friend to many. Her heart beat strongest for her family—she lived for her children, her grandbabies, and her great-grandbabies, pouring love into every hug, every phone call, and every shared meal.

She had an artistic soul, gifted with a natural ability to draw. Her creativity often showed up in quiet ways—through beautiful sketches, lovingly completed puzzles, or the pages of a good book she’d get lost in for hours.

Sandra was the kind of woman who could make a house feel like a home—warm, welcoming, and always filled with laughter. She had a sharp wit and a playful spirit, and if she was joking with you, it meant she loved you. She worked hard throughout her life, both as a dedicated homemaker and as a provider, never backing down from a challenge and retiring only after years of steady, faithful work.

She especially cherished the simple joys—like riding shotgun with her daughter just to spend time together. It didn’t matter where they were going; for Sandra, it was all about being together and making memories along the way.

Sandra leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, laughter, and kindness. Her presence was a gift, and though her absence is deeply felt, her spirit lives on in the hearts and lives of the family she adored. She gave them her everything—and that everything will carry on, generation after generation.

She was, and always will be, the heart of her family.

Those left to cherish her beautiful memory are her three children, Terri Bergeron Sons and her husband, Ethan, Valerie Bergeron, and Jamie Toups and her husband, Clarence Jr.; six grandchildren, Jerry Sons and his wife, Danielle, Paige Mabe, Timothy Q. Walch and his wife, Lauren Ann, Damian Toups, Clarence Toups III and his wife, Shanicca, and Quinn Toups Sr. and his wife, Halie; nine and one on the way great grandbabies, Angelle Mabe, Weston Walch, Shawnlynn Guillory, Gage Toups, Kolson Toups, Breckin Toups, Bryar Toups, Isabella Toups, Quinn Toups Jr. and Baby Walch; and a host of nieces and nephews including niece, Martie Pennington, who was very close to Sandra.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Bergeron;her father, Mack Lombas; her mother, Eula Lombas; and her siblings, Dale Herring, Betti Herbert, and Johnny Lombas.

In keeping with Sandra’s wishes, services will be held privately at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hargrave Funeral Home of Morgan City, Louisiana.
