The following list will be updated once we receive additional locations.
St. Mary Parish: Wednesday morning, beginning at 9:00 am, sand and sand bags will be available at the St. Mary Parish Public Works Hanson Barn, located at 10905-A Highway 182 East in Garden City and at the St. Mary Parish Public Works facility, under the water tower, located at 2717 Highway 182 East in Bayou Vista. All locations are self-fill. Please bring your own shovel.
Berwick: Sand and sandbags are available under the Highway 90 bridge near town hall.
Patterson: Patterson will have sand available today, Thursday, July 17th tentatively around noon at the Fire station substation south of the rail on Progresso Road and by the water tower on Taft St.
City is providing sand and bags. Residents must provide shovel and fill bags.
St. Martin Parish
Sandbags will be available for Lower St. Martin Parish residents beginning Wednesday morning in anticipation of a possible low pressure tropical system that could form in the northeast Gulf of America later in the week. The sandbag distribution site will open Wednesday morning, July 16, at 9:00 am at Doiron Memorial Park, 3257 Highway 70 in Morgan City. July 16, 2025. Please bring a shovel and be prepared to fill your own sandbags. There is a limit of 25 bags per vehicle. Normally, it takes only 6 bags to secure a door. Sandbags will be available Wednesday from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm and Thursday and Friday from 6:00 am – 6:00 pm.
Assumption Parish
Sand and bags are available at Veterans Memorial Park in Pierre Part and Public Works barn at 141 Hwy 1008 Napoleonville. You must bring shovel and bag your own sand.
Iberia Parish
Sand and sandbags are now available at locations throughout the parish.
Residents can access sandbags at the following sites:
• B.O.M Fire Station
• Grand Marais Fire Station
• Coteau Fire Station
• Delcambre water tower
• Loreauville City Park
• Lydia Fire Station
• Jeanerette at Fire Department
• Rynella Fire Department
Please bring your own shovel, as they will not be provided, and be prepared to fill your own bags.
