FRANKLIN, La. — Starting immediately, La. 3211 between the BNSF Railroad and the area between Super 1 Foods and Walmart is closed to through traffic until further notice. The closure comes as a result of worsening road conditions caused by recent wet weather and ongoing construction work.
Emergency vehicles will not be able to access this section of the road during the closure. Although no official detour signs will be posted, drivers are advised to use La. 3211, then head southeast on U.S. 90, exit at La. 3215 (Exit 157), and continue northwest on La. 182 as an alternative route.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) asks drivers to be patient and cautious, especially near work crews and equipment.
