Reed Anthony Rhodes Sr., a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away on August 31, 2024, in Berwick, LA at the age of 70. Born on October 16, 1953, in Morgan City, LA, Reed was a devoted family man who dedicated his life to providing for and supporting his loved ones.
Reed loved the great outdoors, spending his days exploring the beauty of nature and enjoying all that life had to offer. Reed had a passion for fishing and hunting, cherishing the moments spent outdoors with family and friends
During his lifetime, Reed found joy in shooting pool, a hobby he cherished and excelled at. His passion for the game brought light to many gatherings and will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of playing with him.
Reed is survived by his wife Tracy Rhodes, his sons Reed Rhodes Jr., Julius Rhodes, Jeff Allen and wife Rubye, Ashton Allen, and Travis Rhodes, his daughter Michelle Ratcliff and husband Pual, his brother Maurice Rhodes and wife Gladys, his grandchildren Aydan Rhodes, Chase Boudreaux, Kayla Aucoin, Holden Allen, Kylie Allen, and Andalynn Allen and five great grandchildren. Reed is also survived by his good friend Lil’ Ed Burke.
Reed was preceded in death by his parents Julius and Annette Rhodes, his brothers J.T. Chassion and Gordon Rhodes and sisters Bonnie Ford, Louann McIntrye, as well as his sister-in-law Misty Chapmen and brother-in-law Ray Chapmen.
