NAPOLEONVILLE — Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of a Pierre Part man on new felony child sex crime charges following an ongoing investigation.
Authorities say 35-year-old Cody Cullen Landry was arrested Wednesday morning after detectives secured an arrest warrant connected to a complaint received in December of 2025. Investigators allege Landry engaged in sexual intercourse with a child under the age of fourteen on multiple occasions over a period of nearly three years in Assumption Parish.
Deputies took Landry into custody as he appeared in court for a scheduled criminal jury trial on unrelated charges. That trial was continued after a defense motion.
Landry had previously been awaiting trial on charges including third-degree rape, molestation of a juvenile, and sexual battery.
Following his latest arrest, the presiding judge revoked Landry’s original bond and ordered he be held without bail.
Landry was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on three counts of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile. He remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing on the new charges.
