Pierre Part Man Arrested in Road Rage Incident

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Robert C. Watson, 33, of 3046 Highway 70 South, Pierre Part, LA, on felony battery charges arising from a traffic incident which occurred in the early morning hours of August 17, 2024, on Lee Drive in Pierre Part.

Uniformed patrol deputies were dispatched to an address in the 100 block of Joseph Street in reference to a battery complaint. Deputies made contact with the complainant / victim who advised that on the date in question, he was on Lee Drive when he flashed his high beams at a vehicle to signal the driver to dim his lights. As he passed the vehicle, the victim observed it to be a side-by-side ORV. The suspect turned around and drove to Angella Street where he confronted the victim. The suspect, now identified as Robert C. Watson, punched the victim in the face through the open window. As a result of this incident, the victim suffered significant injuries to his face requiring medical attention.

At the conclusion of this investigation, deputies obtained arrest warrants for Robert C. Watson.

On Tuesday night, Robert C. Watson was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

​*Second Degree Battery

Robert C. Watson remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
