Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 20, 2025 at Good Hope Baptist Church 908 Washington Street Patterson, Louisiana. Burial will follow in the New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Patterson, Louisiana.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Barbara Hilliard Veal; his father, Anthony James Skinner, Sr.; stepfather, Steve (Connie) Veal ; two sons, Stephon Polidore and Peter G. Skinner, Jr.; his daughter, Paige G. Skinner; a brother, Anthony J. (Amanda) Skinner, Jr.; two sisters, Rosinda (Wardell) Scott and Sharquana (James) Escort; a bonus mother, Carolyn Edwards; two grandchildren with one on the way; along with a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends, who loved him very much.
Peter is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elijah Hilliard, Sr. and Mable Hilliard, his paternal grandparents, Edward and Orelia Skinner, a grandson, John “Bam” Robinson, uncles, Elijah Hilliard Jr., Johnny Skinner, Michael Skinner, Sr., Pete Skinner, and Roy Skinner, great aunt, Lillie Mae Boles, cousin, Dalton Hilliard Jr. and his fur baby, Ginger Skinner.
