Pedestrian Killed in Houma Crash Saturday Night

A Houma man died Saturday night after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Lafayette Street and Bond Street, according to the Houma Police Department.

Officials say the crash occurred on November 22, 2025, at approximately 8:07 PM, when officers responded to reports of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male lying in the roadway with severe injuries.

Emergency responders from the Houma Fire Department and Acadian Ambulance provided medical aid and transported the victim to Terrebonne General, where he was later pronounced deceased.

HPD officials report that the driver involved in the crash remained on scene, cooperated fully with authorities, and submitted to sobriety testing, which showed no signs of impairment.

According to preliminary findings, the pedestrian unexpectedly entered the roadway, leaving the driver unable to avoid the collision. The investigation is ongoing.
