St. Mary Parish school district officials say they are aware of an incident that occurred on a Patterson morning bus route on Wednesday, January 31, 2024.
A parent reportedly boarded the bus and used inappropriate language. The parent remained at the front of the bus near the driver. No physical contact was made with any student. Officials say the parents of the students on the bus at the time have been contacted.
The district says it is conducting a thorough investigation in collaboration with Patterson Police Department and appropriate charges will be issued as warranted. To protect the privacy of those involved, district officials say no further information can be given.
