Morgan City police have arrested a local woman after security cameras reportedly captured her slashing tires and damaging cars overnight. Officers identified the suspect as 32-year-old Caroline Nicole Harris, who lives on Onstead Street. According to Lieutenant Ricky Hartley, police received several complaints Tuesday morning from residents who discovered their vehicles had been vandalized.
Footage from home security systems allegedly shows Harris walking through the neighborhood with scissors, slashing tires and causing damage to at least 24 cars. Harris now faces 24 felony counts of Criminal Damage to Property, and police say more charges may be added as additional reports come in.
Harris is currently being held at the Morgan City Jail without bond. The investigation is ongoing as officers continue to review footage and take statements from affected residents.
