Morgan City Police Department Nabs Three In Burglary Ring; Searching For One

The Morgan City Police Department responded to several reports of burglaries of vehicles in the Lake Side Area on November 08, 2021. During the course of the investigations several videos of surveillance were obtained that investigators were able to develop a vehicle description along with potential suspects. There was information from the Berwick Police Department in regards to several burglaries that occurred in their jurisdiction that linked our investigations. In the early morning hours of November 09, 2021 patrol officers with the Morgan City Police Department located a vehicle fitting the description of the vehicle being sought by investigators in regards to the burglaries. Officers were able to gain access to the vehicle in which suspected Marijuana and a Firearm that was reported stolen out of Pearl River, LA was located. The vehicle was linked to a room at a local hotel in the area of LA 182.

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Detectives Division executed a search on the room in which Brandon Grayson, Ronald Ray Madere Jr., Kendrick Demourelle, and Antonio Detrelle Robinson were identified as suspects in the investigation. Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department and the Berwick Police Department located Ten more additional Firearms along with cellular devices, US Currency, and Credit Cards that are believed to be taking during the burglaries in multiple jurisdictions. Seven of these firearms were confirmed stolen from several areas which include Morgan City, Berwick, St. Tammany ,and Rapides Parishes. Investigators were able to link Grayson, Demourelle, and Robinson as the culprits in the burglaries. Ronald Ray Madere Jr. , who was not linked to the burglaries was found to hold active arrest warrants through the St. Tammany Parish and St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Offices. Antonio Detrell Robinson had fled the scene prior to the investigation and is still at large with active arrest warrants for his arrest held by the Morgan City Police Department. Grayson, Madere, Demourelle were placed under arrest and booked into the Morgan City Jail. The investigation is ongoing as the Berwick Police Department are expected to have additional charges in regards to the investigations in their jurisdiction.

Kendrick Demourelle

Tyler P. Hartley, 21 years of age, Address: Palm St. Slidell, LA arrested on 11/09/2021 @ 11:25 p.m.

Theft of a Firearm (2 counts)
Illegal Possession of Stolen
Firearms (8 counts)

Resisting an Officer by Giving False

One of the suspects in the recent vehicle burglaries in the Lakeside area who originally identified himself as Kendrick Demourelle of Slidell, LA was found to have given investigators a false identification. According to reports, while conducting routine booking procedures it was found that the subject identifying himself as Demourelle was actually Tyler P. Hartley of Slidell, LA. It was also found that Hartley held active arrest warrants for his arrest through the Slidell Police Department and St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office for Simple Burglary. The information on Hartley was updated where he was processed with the correct name. Hartley was booked and incarcerated in the Morgan CIty Jail.
