Morgan City, La. — B&G Food Enterprises, LLC has expanded its operations with the acquisition of 16 Taco Bell restaurants located in the Mobile, Alabama, and Pensacola, Florida markets. The restaurants were previously owned and operated by Southeast LLC, led by longtime Taco Bell franchisee Nicholas Peters.
The newly acquired locations include restaurants in Bay Minette, Foley, Saraland, Spanish Fort, and six in Mobile, Alabama, along with six in Pensacola, Florida.
Headquartered in Morgan City, Louisiana, B&G Food Enterprises has been a Taco Bell franchisee for more than 40 years. With this acquisition, B&G now operates 230 Taco Bell restaurants across Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida.
Founded in 1982 by Brenda and Greg Hamer with the opening of their first Taco Bell in Morgan City, B&G has grown into one of the largest family-owned franchise organizations in the Taco Bell system.
Today, B&G operates 61 Taco Bells in the Houston metro and 8 in the Abilene area of Texas; 115 restaurants across Louisiana, 17 in Mississippi, 11 in Alabama and 18 in the panhandle of Florida. Additionally, 10 new restaurants are currently under construction or planned for development over the next year.
