Michael Lee Domingue, affectionately known as Mike, passed away at the age of 74 in the early morning hours of Friday, October 20, 2023, at Maison Teche Nursing Home in Jeanerette.
Mike was born on November 14, 1948 in Franklin was a veteran of the United States Army having honorably served his country stateside during the Vietnam War. He was an avid outdoorsman who cherished time in the woods and on the water, working the majority of his life as a commercial fisherman.
He is survived by his daughter, Michelle D. Collins and her companion Gary Courville; one granddaughter, Angelica Raechel Slaydon and her husband Michael; four great grandchildren, Logan, Nata Jr., Ryan, and Riley; two brothers, Jimmy Domingue and Freddy Domingue; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Joseph Domingue; his mother, Nellie Landry Domingue; one brother, Patrick Domingue; one sister, Dolores Darden; and one great granddaughter, Lyla Slaydon.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 27, 2023, during a 2:00 PM graveside service in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Charenton where he will be laid to rest. Fr. Michael DeBlanc will conduct the graveside service.
