MCFD Investigated Smoke Smell At Local Business On Wednesday

The Morgan City Fire Department investigated the smell of smoke on Wednesday at the Frame Shop on Front Street in Morgan City. The department investigated and discovered a motor had burned in the HVAC system. MCPD said, “A major fire was prevented by early detection by the business occupants and notification of the fire department”. There were no injuries nor damage reported as a result of the incident.
