FRANKLIN, La. — A man remains hospitalized in critical condition following a shooting in Franklin late Monday night, according to authorities.
Franklin Police Chief Cedric Handy said the shooting occurred at approximately 11 p.m. The victim sustained a single gunshot wound to the head and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Officials confirmed that a suspect has been taken into custody in connection with the incident. At this time, the identities of both the victim and the suspect have not been released.
