Funeral services for Leon Boudreaux will be held Monday, July 31, 2023, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Baldwin during a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Following the Mass he will be laid to rest in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Father Michael DeBlanc will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services.

Visitations will be held Sunday, July 30th, at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM, led by family members. Visitation will resume Monday at the church at 9:00 AM until Mass time.

A loving husband, father, and Poppa, Leon was born in Franklin on April 13, 1955, the eldest of three children born to Gene and Grace Boudreaux. He enjoyed the simple country life, especially fishing, hunting and camping. If you knew Leon, you knew of his love of horses and all things cowboy. He also enjoyed growing a garden and giving the fruit of his labor away. Leon was especially proud of his 43 1/2 years he dedicated to working at Columbian Chemicals as an electrician, retiring in 2018. Leon passed away peacefully at the age of 68 during the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at his home surrounded in love by his family.

Leon is survived by his wife, Michelle “Missy” Champagne Boudreaux; three daughters, Bambie B. Segura and her husband Shane, Brandie B. Sauce and her husband Carlton, and Taryn M. Mayea and her husband Nicholas; seven grandchildren, Shane Jude Segura Jr. and his wife Vanessa, Briana Judy Segura, Brandon Michael Sauce, Carlie Theresa Sauce and her companion Logan McIver, Cameron James Mayea and his fiancé Grace Landry, Sterlyn Ann Mayea, and Grayson Anthony Mayea; great grandchildren, Gabriella Elizabeth Sauce and Tobias Fernando Segura; two sisters, Angela “Sissy” B. Punch and her husband Camile and Tammy B. Guillotte and her husband Dwayne; his beloved Shih Tzu, Miss Priss; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Joseph Boudreaux and Grace Ann Hebert Boudreaux; his first wife of 20 years, Theresa “Teta” Champagne Boudreaux; his paternal grandparents, Leonce Paul Boudreaux and Lillian Sullivan Boudreaux; his maternal grandparents, Junius P. Hebert Sr. and Gracie Verret Hebert; his in-laws, Sterling Champagne Jr. and Sherry Barrilleaux Champagne; as well as by numerous family members that were dear to him.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be his grandsons, Brandon Sauce, Shane Segura Jr., Cameron Mayea, and Grayson Mayea, his cousin Alvin Boudreaux, and best friend Kenny Walden, with honorary pallbearers being his uncle J.P. Hebert, his cousin Tommy LeBlanc, and his dear friend Ray Barrilleaux.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Mark Charbonnet, his nurses, Melissa, Angelle, and Angela, and Heart of Hospice. Your love and compassion will never be forgotten.
