A Lafourche Parish deputy is being reprimanded for parking in a handicap parking spot at a local restaurant.
According to Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Weber, he and his daughter decided to grab a bite to eat and when Weber noticed a unit parked in a handicap spot. Sheriff Webre is calling this incident very embarrassing and a humiliating error of judgement of the Lafourche Parish Deputy.
Sheriff Webre continued to say he is recommending suspension without pay equal to the cost of a citation for this violation. In a statement, Sheriff Webre said he apologizes for the inappropriate action and unnecessary affront to the public trust.
