Josefa Endres (Peggy) Hebert, 83, a resident of Bayou Vista, passed away on Wednesday August 16, 2023, surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Peggy was born September 18, 1939, in Schrobenhausen, Germany, the daughter of Jacob Endres and Josefa Limmer Endres.
Peggy was loved by many for her engaging personality. She loved making new friends and loved to laugh. She enjoyed shopping, especially if she could use a coupon and cooking Sunday dinner for her loving family. Peggy was very devoted to the St. Bernadette Catholic Church, and was a long-standing member of the Ladies Altar Society. She liked to sit on her
swing to pass the time and wave to people as they drove by and blew their horn. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her, two sons, Greg Hebert and wife Barbara, and Mark Hebert and wife Sherryann; two daughters, Gerlinde Frentz and Helen Rentrop and husband Jaret; two brothers, Alfred Endres and Gunther Endres of Schrobenhausen, Germany; nine grandchildren, Ryan Fabre, Brice Fabre, Justin Hebert, Julia Hebert, Jennifer Lavulo, Adam Rentrop, Scott Kroner, Erica Johnson, and Shane Mitchell; thirteen great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; and one dear friend, Gayle Falgout.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Josefa Endres; her loving husband Albert Hebert; one brother, Albert Endres; one daughter-in-law, Kim Hebert.
A visitation will be held at St. Bernadette Church Hall on Sunday, August 20, from 6pm-9pm. Visitation will continue at St. Bernadette Church from 9am-12 on Monday, followed by mass at 12:10 and concluded with a graveside service at Berwick Cemetery.
