On Saturday April 30th, 2022, the Jeanerette Police Department conducted an operation within the city limits of Jeanerette with the assistance of several other agencies which included St Mary Parish Sheriffs Office, Baldwin Police Department, Franklin Police Department and Chitamacha Police Department. The purpose of the operation was to deter the recent shootings within the city! During the 4 hour operation, officers recovered (9) guns, crack, marijuana, methamphetamine, ecstasy and drug paraphernalia. A total of 7 arrest were made during this operation. We will continue to do these operations frequently to ensure the safety of this community.
