Bo Duhé, District Attorney for the 16th Judicial District announced that
on October 21, 2022, HENDERSON DWIGHT WESLEY, D.O.B. 11/15/91
was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Ronald Chillis, Jr.
On February 15, 2015, Wesley fired multiple rounds through the front
door of Chillis’ home in the Four Corners area of St. Mary Parish, La. Cell
phone data, video surveillance and witness testimony placed Wesley
at the scene of the murder firing multiple rounds through the front door
of Chillis’ home in the Four Corners area of St. Mary.
At the sentencing hearing, both parents of Ronald Chillis, Jr., Evelyn and
Ronald “Chip” Chillis, Sr., testified about the loving and caring impact
their son had on family and friends and how the actions of Henderson
Wesley have forever changed that.
Bo Duhé commented, “I express my condolences and prayers to
Evelyn, Chip, and their family for their loss. I have witnessed the strength
and courage of these parents support of their child in pursuit of justice.”
Daniel Smart, Assistant Attorney General and Assistant District Attorney,
Brady Hollzclaw prosecuted the case for the State of Louisiana.
