UPDATE: Broussard has been apprehended.
ORIGINAL STORY: Sheriff Tommy Romero and the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office has issued a public safety alert regarding an escaped inmate.
Wednesday afternoon at approximately 5:30pm, 39-year-old Kristian Broussard escaped the Iberia Parish Jail. Broussard is a pre-trial detainee held for 2nd degree murder.
