Houma Tunnel Overnight Closures Scheduled for This Week

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LA DOTD) has announced that the Houma Tunnel will be closed overnight on three consecutive days next week. The closures will take place from 7 PM to 3 AM on Wednesday, August 7, Thursday, August 8, and Friday, August 9, 2024.

The closures are necessary to allow LA DOTD to conduct a survey in preparation for an upcoming rehabilitation project on the tunnel. Motorists are advised to plan their routes in advance and allow for extra travel time during these periods.
