Helen Vern Menard Landry, passed away on July 12, 2025, in Franklin, Louisiana, at the age of 88.
She was born on June 12, 1937, in Abbeville, LA, to Felix Menard and Enite Vincent. The family later moved to Berwick, LA; there she married Perry Joseph Landry on August 2, 1953.
Helen dedicated her life to being a homemaker, pouring her love into creating a warm and nurturing home for her family. She will always be remembered for her exceptional cooking, sewing, and her vibrant garden. A devoted parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church, she actively contributed to her community, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
She is survived by three daughters Janet Ann Verrette (Craig), Verna Lee Rochel (Greg), Vicky Lynn Landry, a son Carl Douglas Landry (Elaine), grandchildren Stacie Lynn Verrette Davis, Michael Vincent Verrette, Eric Thomas Verrette, Anthony Joseph Verrette; Anna Marie Verrette Moore, Kevin Rochel, Katie Rochel, Katherine Rochel Broussard, Kabrini Rochel; Justin Carpenter, Cody Landry, Jody Landry, Carlee Marie Landry; and 16 great-grand-children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Herbert Paul Menard, son-in-law Craig Vincent Verrette, and grandson Christpher Anthony Verrette.
The family would like to thank all of the ladies at Legacy Nursing Home of Franklin for their great care of Helen.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at noon, Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Herb Bennerfield officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Twin City Funeral Home from 8:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. After Mass, Helen will be laid to rest in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.
