Franklin Police Officer Critically Injured in High Speed Chase with Suspect

A Franklin Police Officer is recovering from critical injuries after a collision with a suspect’s vehicle in a high speed pursuit. The Franklin Police Department tells KQKI News that Saturday morning at approximately 1:00 am, a suspect led the officer on a pursuit when both the officer’s unit and the suspect’s vehicle were involved in a collision. The officer sustained critical injuries, but their condition has since been upgraded to stable.

27-year-old Dejhon Parker of Franklin was apprehended and was booked on multiple charges including, resisting an officer, aggravated obstruction of a highway or commerce, aggravated flight, resisting with force or violence, aggravated criminal damage to property, reckless operation, 10 counts of possession of Schedule 1 narcotics, DWI, speeding violation, 4 counts of turn signal violation and 3 counts of stop sign violation.

According to the Franklin Police Department, the identity of the officer is not being released. However, more information will be released as it becomes available.
