The Franklin Police Department responded to 10 calls for service over the past 24 hours and made two notable arrests.
Kamaya Joseph, 32, of Apple Street in Morgan City, Louisiana, was arrested on April 8, 2026, at 5:08 PM on the charge of simple battery. Joseph was booked, processed, and released on a $2,500 bond.
Kemone Darby, 18, also from Morgan City, was arrested at the same time on charges of simple battery and aggravated second degree battery. Darby was booked, processed, and is currently being held with no bond set at the time of this report.
