On Saturday, August 23, 2025, around 10:00 a.m., Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop C were contacted by a concerned motorist traveling on U.S. Highway 90 near Gray. The caller reported that the driver of a vehicle, later identified as 73-year-old Lee Segura of Franklin, was engaging in sexual conduct within view of the occupants of their vehicle, which included juveniles.
Troopers soon made contact with Segura. As a result of the investigation, and with information obtained, he was placed under arrest and transported to the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex. While being processed, suspected narcotics were also discovered in his possession.
Segura was subsequently booked on the following charges:
• LA R.S. 14:106.3 – Unlawful exhibition of sexually explicit material in a motor vehicle
• LA R.S. 14:81 – Indecent behavior with juveniles
• LA R.S. 14:402 – Taking contraband to/from penal institutions prohibited
• LA R.S. 40:967 – Prohibited acts – Possession of Schedule II CDS
• LA R.S. 14:95 – Illegal carrying of weapon in presence of CDS
