Franklin Issues Boil Water Advisory

by KQKInews
1 minutes read

The Franklin Water System is issuing a self imposed BOIL ADVISORY effective immediately due to low water pressure from the ruptured pipe fixed yesterday and replacement of 2 fire hydrants today. Consumers should boil their water before consuming it (including fountain drinks), making ice, brushing teeth, or using it for food preparation or rinsing of foods by: Boil water for one (1) full minute in a clean container. The one minute starts after the water has been brought to a rolling boil. The Franklin Water System will rescind this Boil Notice upon notification from the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals – Office of Public Health that samples collected have shown our water to be safe. Please be patient until LDH lifts the Boil Notice. We will immediately advise the public when they do so.
