The Franklin Police Department responded to 17 complaints over the past weekend and made the following arrests:
Shawn Scully, 49, of Cedar St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on July 26, 2024, at 7:58 PM, on a warrant dated August 10, 2022, for simple assault domestic and violation of protective orders, and a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charges of speeding and operating a vehicle while license is suspended. Scully was additionally arrested on the charge of violation of protective order. Scully was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
Jonisha Yelling, 32, of Baptiste St., Baldwin, LA, was arrested on July 28, 2024, at 2:33 AM, on a warrant for Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on the charge of speeding. Yelling was booked, processed, and released on a $300.00 bond.
Curtis Williams, 41, of Fox Ln., Franklin, LA, was arrested on July 28, 2024, at 8:59 PM, on a warrant dated August 2, 2021, for stop signs and yield signs – 4 counts, flight from an officer, possession of schedule I narcotics, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Williams was booked, processed, and released on a $6,000.00 bond.
