The Franklin Police Department responded to 27 complaints over the past weekend and made the following arrests:
Milton Green, 36, of Willow St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on June 23, 2023, at 12:08 PM, on the charges of disturbing the peace by language, remaining where forbidden, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Green was booked, processed, and held on a $3,750.00 bond.
Rusty Bordelon, 34, of Sterling Rd., Franklin, LA, while incarcerated at the Franklin Police Department, was arrested on June 24, 2023, on the charge of contraband into penal institutions – 2 counts. Bordelon was booked, processed, and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
Zuanita Evans, 31, of Fannin St., Houston, TX, was arrested on June 25, 2023, at 12:12 AM, on the charge of domestic abuse battery. Evans was additionally arrested on a warrant for probation violation, and on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and speeding. Evans was booked, processed, and held on a $13,500.00 bond.
Jezreel Westley, 29, of Coteau Holmes St., St. Martinville, LA, was arrested on June 25, 2023, at 3:37 PM, on the charges of disturbing the peace by alarming the public and possession of a firearm by a person convicted of certain felonies. Westley was booked, processed, and held on a $25,750.00 bond.
Malik King, 21, of Maple St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on June 25, 2023, at 7:54 PM, on the charge of possession of schedule I narcotics (marijuana). King was additionally arrested on a warrant for Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on the charge of illegal carrying of weapons and on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charges of resisting an officer and disturbing the peace. King was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
Braydon Ward, 23, of Third St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on June 25, 2023, at 11:18 PM, on a warrant for Jeanerette City Court for failure to appear on the charge of speeding. Ward was booked, processed, and transported to the Jeanerette Police Department.
Jonathan Miller, 35, of Cypress St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on June 26, 2023, at 4:12 AM, on a warrant for Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on the charge of theft. Miller was booked, processed, and held on a $368.00 bond.
