The Franklin Police Department responded to 68 calls for service over the past holiday weekend and made the following arrests:
On May 23, 2025, at approximately 3:57 PM, the Franklin Police Department responded to shots fired in the area of Iberia Street and Weber Street. The following arrest stems from that incident.
Christopher Hines, 18, of Abbirene St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 23, 2025, at 6:00 PM, on the charges of contributing to the delinquency of juveniles, attempted second degree murder, illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities, and disturbing the peace. Hines was booked, processed, and held on a $255,000.00 bond.
Shawn Jenkins, 48, of Morris St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 24, 2025, at 6:46 PM, on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charges of possession of schedule II controlled dangerous substance, remaining where forbidden, and possession of marijuana. Jenkins was additionally arrested on the charge of resisting an officer. Jenkins was booked, processed, and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
Vivian Jack, 35, of Lincoln St., Baldwin, LA, was arrested on May 25, 2025, at 12:10 PM, on a warrant dated April 13, 2025, for simple battery and disturbing the peace by fighting. Jack was booked, processed, and released on an $836.00 bond.
David Loustalot, 40, of Mechanic St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 25, 2025, at 7:22 PM, on a warrant dated May 8, 2025, for residential contractor fraud. Loustalot was booked, processed, and released on a $10,000.00 bond.
Harold Lovely, Jr., 38, of Guidroz St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 25, 2025, at 9:27 PM, on a warrant dated March 11, 2025, for simple battery. Lovely was booked, processed, and released on a $2,500.00 bond.
Carlin Stelly, 47, of Cayce St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 26, 2025, at 1:28 AM, on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family, and on a warrant for St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office for battery of a dating partner. Stelly was additionally arrested on the charges of possession of schedule II narcotics (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Stelly was booked, processed, and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
Alvontre Griffin, 24, of Robertson St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 27, 2025, at 12:28 AM, on a warrant dated April 21, 2025, for battery of a dating partner. Griffin was booked, processed, and held on a $7,500.00 bond.
