The Franklin Police Department responded to 20 complaints over the past holiday weekend and made the following arrests:
Carl Dupas, 60, of Iberia St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on November 9, 2023, at 1:41 PM, on a warrant dated November 3, 2023, for possession of schedule II narcotics (cocaine). Dupas was booked, processed, and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
Alicia Sereal, 40, of Adams St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on November 10, 2023, 9:13 AM, on a warrant dated November 6, 2023, for domestic abuse battery with strangulation, and warrants for 16th Judicial District Court for probation violation. Sereal was booked, processed, and held on a $21,240.00 bond.
Jamyius Austin, 18, Norris Rd., New Iberia, LA, was arrested on November 11, 2023, at 2:57 PM, on the charges of principal to aggravated battery, illegal possession of stolen firearms, contributing to the delinquency of juveniles, terrorizing, and simple battery. Austin was booked, processed, and held on a $75,000.00 bond.
Skyler Derise, 18, of New Horizon Dr., New Iberia, LA, was arrested on November 11, 2023, at 2:57 PM, on the charges of principal to aggravated battery, illegal possession of stolen firearms, illegal carrying of weapons, contributing to the delinquency of juveniles, terrorizing, and simple battery. Derise was booked, processed, and held on a $75,000.00 bond.
Jakylan Payton, 18, of Eagle St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on November 11, 2023, at 2:57 PM, on the charges of principal to aggravated battery, illegal possession of stolen firearms, contributing to the delinquency of juveniles, and terrorizing. Payton was booked, processed, and held on a $75,000.00 bond.
Gajan Reed, 38, of Ash St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on November 11, 2023, at 5:56 PM, on a warrant dated October 27, 2023, for home invasion. Reed was booked, processed, and held on a $25,000.00 bond.
Roman Hernandez-Perez, 21, of 73rd St., Cut Off, LA, was arrested on November 12, 2023, at 2:02 AM, on the charges of speeding and no driver’s license. Hernandez-Perez was booked, processed, and released on a $468.50 bond.
Jardyn McCoy, 23, of Iberia St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on November 12, 2023, at 12:25 PM, on warrants for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charges of possession of schedule I narcotics with intent to distribute, illegal use of weapons, transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses, battery of a police officer, resisting an officer, violation of uniform controlled dangerous substance law in a drug free zone, possession of drug paraphernalia, and window tint. McCoy was booked, processed, and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
Demontay Lightfoot, Sr., 29, of Willow St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on November 12, 2023, at 8:13 PM, on the charges of domestic abuse battery with child endangerment, aggravated battery, and simple assault. Lightfoot was booked, processed, and held on a $75,000.00 bond.
Dayton Madison, 28, of Weber St., Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on November 12, 2023, at 10:45 PM, on a warrant dated August 17, 2023, for simple assault, and a warrant dated August 11, 2023, for telephone harassment. Madison was booked, processed, and held on a $10,000.00 bond.
