Firefighters Respond To Early Morning Fire In Sorrell

St. Mary Parish Fire District 11 responded to Eves Street, in Sorrell, early Friday morning for reports of a house fire. Upon arrival, responders found a single family home about 25 percent involved. Responders deployed hose lines and began interior firefighting operations. District 11 said they received assistance from Jeanerette Fire, Chitimacha Fire and Baldwin Fire Departments. St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office provided scene security, while Acadian provided medical standby. In all, 4 Engines, 1 Service Tanker, and 1 Tanker responded with 11 Firefighters. No Injuries were reported.
