Eddie Ray Farris, a native of Douglas, Arizona, passed away at the age of 66 in the morning hours of Friday, October 13, 2023.
Duke, as he was affectionately known, was a longtime resident of Franklin where he worked for many years for Ford Roofing Services. Some of his favorite pastimes away from work included fishing and hunting. A man who enjoyed the simple things in life, Duke was a hard worker who could get along with just about anyone. He was a loving father to his chosen children and will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to have known him.
Those he leaves to cherish his memory include his children, Laurie Waguespack and Jason Leach; his sister, Linnie Johnson; his brother, Russ Farris; and his nephew, Ernie Farris.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Roy Farris and JoAnn Fuller Farris; and his brother, Ernest “Ernie” Farris.
In keeping with Duke’s wishes, private memorial services will be held at a later date.
