Donna Courville passed from this world on August 13, 2024. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Jeanette Hebert, and her brother, Raphael Hebert. She is survived by her husband, J.R. Courville, her children, Zachariah Hebert, Justin & Jeremy Courville, and Jennifer Hogan, her siblings, Rachel Lecoq, Bridget Long, and Michael Hebert, her aunt, Peggy Acosta, and nine grandchildren. She is entombed in her family plot in Franklin, Louisiana.
Donna’s life was defined by music. While she was blessed with a voice that could make angels weep, the truth of her song was in what she brought into the lives of those she touched. As she moved through the world, she created a symphony in the hearts of those around her, building one melody at a time as she brought love, joy, and peace to those who crossed her path, whether for a moment or a lifetime.
Even now, in her absence, the harmony of her memory will resonate always within them, brightening the world on and on forever just as she did, never truly gone as the boundless love of her song is carried evermore in theirs.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 17, at 5pm, at the home of Larry and Bridget Long, at 207 Running Deer Dr, Lafayette, LA, 70503. They will be making jambalaya and have tea, coffee, and lemonade, but you are welcome to bring your own food and drinks.
