It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Deanna Chauvin Benedietto, a hardworking, loving, and dedicated mother, who left us on Tuesday, July 18, 2023. Her life was a tapestry of remarkable experiences, talents, and selfless acts that touched the lives of all who knew her.

A gathering of friends and family will be held at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin, Tuesday, July 25, from 10:00 AM until time of the holy rosary to be prayed at 1:00 PM. Services will follow right after officiated by Fr. Joel Faulk and con-celebrated by Fr. Angelo Cremaldi.

Deanna had a passion for wood working and carpentry, displaying her craftsmanship with pride and skill. Her career as an operator for Trunkline Gas and as a bookkeeper at the sugar mill showcased her dedication and unwavering work ethic.

Her faith in God was the cornerstone of her life, and she instilled this devotion in her family, making it a part of their shared journey. To everyone she encountered, Deanna extended love and care, treating them as if they were part of her own family. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

As a loving caretaker, Deanna was there for each of her siblings, caring for them with tenderness and compassion before their eventual passing. Her selflessness knew no bounds, and her love was a guiding light for her family.

Deanna’s adventurous spirit led her to explore life fearlessly, always willing to try new experiences at least once. Among her many talents, she was a wonderful cook, delighting her loved ones with delectable meals and warm hospitality.

Today, as we grieve the loss of Deanna Benedietto, let us also celebrate the profound impact she had on the lives of those around her. Her love, generosity, and adventurous spirit will forever be cherished and remembered.

Deanna is survived by her loving children, Cheryl Ann Benedietto and her loving companion Tommy Simoneaux, Roxanne Marie Camporese, Randall Leon Benedietto and his wife Kamala; her children by marriage to Ashton Ireland, Mary Ashton Ireland, Nita-Ireland Guillory, Pamela Ireland Strain; her grandchildren, Nicole Benedietto, Lilah Benedietto, Brittany Pontiff, Zachary Camporese, Madison Camporese, Kyle Camporese, Brice Benedietto, Charles Benedietto, Brennan Benedietto, Angelo Ashton Benedietto, Isabella Benedietto; her great-grandchildren, Kadin Dinger, Jaylon Benedietto, Alexis Brown, Elia Benedietto, Tylon Spain, Ma’Lia Spain; her great great-granddaughter, Ivy Eufamie Dinger; her sisters, Theresa Giroir, Judy Werline and Amy Chauvin; as well as a host of extended family and friends whom she loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Angelo Benedietto; her son, Charles Raymond “Charlie” Benedietto; her parents, Walter Sr. and Eufamie Chauvin; her brothers, Walter Chauvin Jr, Charles Chauvin, Jim Chauvin, Johnny Chauvin and Larry Chauvin.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff at Heart of Hospice for helping during this most difficult time.
