The Franklin Police Department responded to 20 complaints over the past holiday weekend and made the following arrests: Carl Dupas, 60, of Iberia St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on November 9, 2023, at 1:41 PM, on a warrant dated November 3, 2023, for possession of schedule II narcotics (cocaine). Dupas was booked, processed, and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. Alicia Sereal, 40, of Adams St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on November 10, 2023, 9:13 AM, on a warrant dated November 6, 2023, for domestic abuse battery with strangulation, and warrants for 16th Judicial District Court for probation violation. Sereal was booked, processed, and held on a $21,240.00 bond. Jamyius Austin, 18, Norris Rd., New Iberia, LA, was arrested on November 11, 2023, at 2:57 PM, on the charges of principal to aggravated battery, illegal possession of stolen firearms, contributing to the delinquency of juveniles, terrorizing, and simple battery. Austin was booked, processed, and held on a $75,000.00 bond. Skyler Derise, 18, of New Horizon Dr., New Iberia, LA, was arrested on November 11, 2023, at 2:57 PM, on the charges of principal to aggravated battery, illegal possession of stolen firearms, illegal carrying of weapons, contributing to the delinquency of juveniles, terrorizing, and simple battery. Derise was booked, processed, and held on a $75,000.00 bond. Jakylan Payton, 18, of Eagle St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on November 11, 2023, at 2:57 PM, on the charges of principal to aggravated battery, illegal possession of stolen firearms, contributing to the delinquency of juveniles, and terrorizing. Payton was booked, processed, and held on a $75,000.00 bond.
