Carol Lynn Ackman, a native and lifelong resident of Morgan City, was called to her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at the age of 69.
Carol was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. She found joy in crafting and cooking, often spending her time sewing, thrifting, and enjoying classic movies and sitcoms. Her family will fondly remember her for the warmth she brought into their lives—especially through her signature dishes like beef stew with homemade bread and her beloved Spanish rice with meatballs.
Those left to cherish Carol’s beautiful memory are her four children, Gina Ackman, Jewel Ackman, David Ackman and Andrea Ackman; her six grandchildren, Sabrina Hall, Ginelle Claverie, Madison Mire, Melody Mire, Amberly Mire, and Colton Mire, and one great grandchild, Sky Adams all from Morgan City. She is also survived by three sisters, Joyce Cavalier, Connie Fryou, and Janet Ackman; and many dearly loved nieces and nephews.
She was reunited in heaven with her husband, David Ackman; her parents, Roy and Vivian Hildago; her sister, Judy Rink and her brother, Byron Hidalgo.
In keeping with Carol’s wishes, services for Carol are being held privately by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Hargrave Funeral Home of Morgan City, Louisiana.
