Bayou Blue Woman Sentenced to Life in Prison for Murder of Long-Time Partner

According to the Lafourche Parish District Attorney’s Office, Crystal Ricker, 44, was found guilty of second-degree murder by a Lafourche Parish jury for the 2022 killing of Brandon Bradley, her longtime partner.
Ricker was sentenced to mandatory life imprisonment without the possibility of probation, parole or suspension of sentence. Chief of Violent Crimes Shaun George prosecuted the case.

Back on May 29, 2022around 3:45 p.m., Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office, Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Louisiana State Police (LSP) responded to a report of a man being shot in Bayou Blue inside of a camper in the 200 block of Lake Long Drive.  The victim was identified as Bradley and according to reports, he shot once in the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene. Volunteer firefighters did attempt life-saving measures until EMTs arrived but were unsuccessful.

The weapon that was used in the shooting was recovered at the scene.

According to the investigation, this incident stemmed from an argument between the two.
