Bayou Bend Health System is once again moving forward for greater healthcare with the installation of a cutting-edge SIGNA Voyager 1.5T wide bore MRI scanner from GE HealthCare, a state-of-the-art imaging solution that expands diagnostic capabilities, improves patient comfort, and enhances overall imaging performance.
The SIGNA Voyager scanner features a wide bore configuration of 27 inches, a table weight limit of 550 pounds, and adaptive AIR Coils to help accommodate a broader range of body types and clinical needs, improving comfort for patients. The system’s intelligent imaging software improves signal-to-noise (SNR) and image sharpness while enabling shorter scan times. Additionally, the SIGNA Voyager is now conveniently located inside the hospital’s Radiology department.

The new SIGNA Voyager MRI scanner is now fully operational with exam capabilities for head, neck, upper and lower extremities, abdomen, spine, and pelvis.
